Mission

The mission of the Itasca County Veterans Service Office is to improve the quality of life for veterans. This is accomplished by serving as advocates for veterans and their families with obtaining State and Federal benefits earned by honorable service in the Armed Forces of the United States.

This service is provided by the Itasca County Government consistent with the county's mission statement by employment of accredited Minnesota County Veterans Service Officers.

There are many electronic and phone based options for filing claims for benefits and enrolling for VA health care.   Please be advised that if you use any of the VA systems directly, we at the Itasca Vets Office may not be able to assist you with whatever you have started.    If you are unsure about where to start please contact our office.
