Road Maintenance

There are 6 Maintenance districts in Itasca County, with 9 garages, and a Central Purchasing Building.  All County Highway Maintenance is under the direction of the County Highway Engineer.  Office Hours for the Engineer’s Office are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday.  (218) 327-2853.

Road Maintenance Operations: 

Winter Work Hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday thru Friday. 

Summer Work Hours are from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday thru Thursday, from the beginning of May to the End of September.  The best time to reach someone at a County garage is near their starting and ending times, as the crews are out on the roads during the day.
