 The Itasca County Health Department offers maternal-child health services to pregnant women, babies, and families. The goals of the programs include:

• Improve the health of pregnant women to decrease risks to their unborn babies.
• Provide health services to children and families.
• Provide case coordination and services to the families of children with special needs.

Public Health Nurses with special training and experience with mothers, babies and families offer the following services:

• Home visits to pregnant women
• Home visits to families
• Other services
