A: You may apply for one for yourself or a member of your
immediate family (spouse, parent, sister brother, or child
over 18 years of age) can complete and submit your application
for you. They must sign the signature line and state their
relationship to, you the applicant.
Q: How do I apply for an Absentee Ballot?
A: You may apply for an Absentee Ballot by filling out the
Federal Post Card Application available at this link:

must be a Minnesota resident, but you do not have to be a
currently registered voter in Minnesota to apply (the
application serves as your voter registration form).
Q: When do I need to apply for an Absentee Ballot?
A: Absentee balloting begins 30 days before each election,
but you can apply beforehand. Apply early because mail often
takes an extended amount of time to reach overseas voters.
Minnesota does not allow you to receive or return ballots by
fax.
Q: Who do I mail my completed ballot to?
A: Mail your completed ballot to Itasca County (see address
below). Remember! Your ballot must be received by the County
Auditor in time to deliver to the precinct before the polls on
Election Day.
